又回到Beyond。1991年，Beyond应世界宣明会之邀到非洲等地去探访第三世界的穷困人民，并成立了一个第三世界基金。这首《光辉岁月》就是黄家驹为南非精神领袖曼德拉所作。Beyond也成为了香港世界宣明会的代言人；反对种族歧视，希望世界和平，一直是Beyond的心愿。据说有个人将这首歌翻译给曼德拉听过，曼德拉看到歌中的歌词感动的痛哭流涕！
